Hey, thanks for stopping by. Perhaps you're wondering why I'm so active here at BomberOnline, or how I know things about alpine snowboarding. I hang out here simply because I love the sport. I love to help others get into it, get better at it, and I love talking about it. It's just my thing.

Over the years I've come to learn a lot about alpine. Here's a brief history of my involvement:
  • January 10, 1988 - Learned to snowboard on a Burton Elite 150, Stowe VT
  • 1989 - Learned to carve on my Burton Safari Comp II
  • 1992 - Switched to hardboots, on a Burton PJ7
  • 1993 - Became a professional snowboarding instructor for Sugarloaf/USA under the guidance of carving guru Erik Beckman
  • 1996 - Hired by Lee Crane to write alpine snowboarding articles for Snowboarding Online Magazine (solsnowboarding.com), which later became Transworld.
  • 1996 - Factory worker/engineer for startup Irony Snowboards
  • 1997 - Graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1997 - Stopped instructing for Sugarloaf
  • 1998 - got married to a hot skier chick
  • 1999 - Hired by Fin Doyle to write for BomberOnline
  • 2002 - had a baby boy
  • 2004 - One of two organizers of the fifth East Coast Expression Session
  • 2004 - Member of first Alpine Snowboarding Industry Summit meeting, held at the ECES.
So, I've been around. If you want to contact me, I'm currently at jackm(at)maine.rr.com. Oh yeah, my name is pronounced "Me-show". That's "show", as in, "dude, let me show you something."
